Moving Into Day 2

Well things seemed to go quite well yesterday. Sorry I promised to do this yesterday, but spinning class got in the way.

Here are the websites we referenced yesterday:

http://www.novemberlearning.com/ - great site re: Internet Literacy
www.blogger.com - for making your own blog
www.flickr.ca - photo blog
www.artcyclopedia.com - great site for art history images and info
http://visualmediarts.blogspot.com/ - my blog

I also have some documents that I will post for this course - you will find them in:

TEL > TDSB conferences > School Services - Program > Visual Arts > Media Arts

I thought this would be better than filling up your email.

Please feel free to comment on this post by adding other great website references.

Hello and welcome to my weblog for this Institute

This is an experiment for me. I am trying to use this as a way to give you advance and ongoing information about this course.
I will post the daily agenda of activities here as well as references and links.

In each of the posts, there will be a button that will allow you to comment on or add information to the post or topic posted. Please feel free to enrich this site with your own information and references.

In teaching Visual and Media arts, especially content related to the visual/digital realm, I feel I am more the facillitator and guide and less the sage on the stage - so please add to, correct or challenge what we learn and discuss - it just makes the whole experience richer.

What to bring to the course:

Active TEL acct and your password!

All of the following items are optional - just might be useful or you might have a chance to learn more about them:
Digital camera if you have one
Laptop computer if you have one -please let me know what kind and I will bring needed software
IF you have a memory stick – please feel free to bring one for data storage.

See you next Tuesday

Kathy
